Pollutants found in Monterey Bay, California, in the year 2001 Student Author: Iris Peppard Introduction: There are many pollutants from a wide variety of sources in the Monterey Bay National Sanctuary. My research is on the present day pollutants that flow from urban run-off, pesticide run-off, a power plant at Moss Landing, sewage spills, and lead bullets left on the beach from the closed down military base at Fort Ord.
